Hockeysmith, the solo project of Annabel Hockeysmith presents her diverse new EP ‘Hunted Eyes’. Its beginnings date back to 2019 and chronicle her personal voyage between Cornwall and France during the pandemic. Isolating herself in a chateau in the French countryside, Annabel found inspiration from her surroundings with a simple piano/voice set up to create an otherworldly body of work.

These undeniable pop offerings reveal a stripped back and personal thematic substance that meshes with her light headed vocal hooks. Hockeysmith soulfully side-steps with ease into the mainstream with producer prodigy Lxury, who has spent a decade cutting his teeth, from growing up with the 00’s grime and dubstep scene in Croydon to working with luminaries including JME and Wiley to co-penning a 3xPlatinum-selling pop single with Years & Years. Taking inspiration from Akin to Madonna and William Orbits ‘Ray Of Light’, Annabel and Lxury have been quietly cut off in Cornwall this year finding a musical balance not trapped in an era but yet makes the most of their combined abilities to create modern and catchy masterpieces.
